Milliken signs the Adecco Group office renovation project

The new site was to be located in the prestigious district of La Défense.

Design approach

The brief called for the creation of a unified office environment, which allows the various Adecco brands installed in the space to reflect their individual identities. The client also wanted the workspace layout to include a series of meeting, collaboration and flexible working areas. To meet this demand, several different style spaces have been designed, including contemporary, vintage, biophilic and Scandinavian spaces. Through careful selection of furnishings and finishes, the finished project provides an exceptional new working environment for Adecco employees.

Modular flexibility

For a vintage-inspired collaboration area, the Artistic Liberties award-winning carpet tile collection emerged as the perfect choice to bring in a sophisticated touch. The decorative swirls of Outspoken Tradition in the matte tones of Masquerade are combined with the design of Inset and the soft uniformity of Without Reserve in the golden hues of Charmed. These rich colors match perfectly with art-deco wall coverings and elegant furniture. The result is an elegant and informal meeting and relaxation space.

The flexibility of Milliken modular carpeting allowed Tétris to go bold in this space, separating the seating area from the rest of the room with colors and patterns that perfectly evoke the vintage look that the team of design wished to obtain. With its Comfort Lite backing, the carpet also brought an extra touch of comfort and luxury under the feet of the users of this space.

Biophilic design

For the reception area of ​​one of Adecco's brands, Field Study carpet from Milliken's modular Tracing Landscapes collection was chosen to create a warm and welcoming ambience. Inspired by the colors and textures of the natural world, this design pairs perfectly with the biophilic aesthetic of the reception's natural wood finishes. Field Study has been installed in Etched Valley stone tones all around the reception desk.

The biophilic references continue in the meeting rooms, where the soft, sculptural aesthetic of Field Study flooring complements the graphic patterns of leafy wallpapers, natural green plants and subtle green upholstery. The neutral hue and soft, sculptural aesthetic of the carpet surface, combined with the Comfort Lite backing of the tiles, give these meeting spaces an atmosphere of comfort and calm.

Made from solution-dyed nylon yarns, the Tracing Landscapes collection offers uniform, saturated color and high stain resistance. For lighter colors, with a light reflectance value greater than 20, such as Etched Valley, Milliken provides additional StainSmart® protection.

Carbon neutral designs

The Artistic Liberties and Tracing Landscapes collections are both made from 100% Econyl® regenerated nylon. With their Comfort Lite support made from 90% recycled materials, these collections are Carbon Neutral (2021) certified, as are all Milliken ranges. For Adecco's project, they offer excellent sustainability and well-being credentials, with BRE certification, EPD verification, as well as GuT and CRI Green Label Plus certification for indoor air quality .
