MaPrimeRénov', CEE, "heating boost": new government announcements

The Ministry of Ecological Transition has announced an increase in the obligation for the fifth period of Energy Saving Certificates and an extension of the heating boost.

4,8 billion euros will be used to significantly strengthen this support.

A call for programs of 150 million euros will also be launched to support households in fuel poverty.

The importance of MaPrimeRénov' in dealing with all segments of the portfolio is considered "decisive" and in particular with schemes such as MaPrimeRénov' Copropriétés, aid paid to the syndicate of co-owners to support the completion of overall renovation.

The possibility of implementing new measures by January 1, 2023 as part of the aid schemes for the energy renovation of the private residential stock by developing certain aspects of MaPrimeRénov or by accelerating the connection to heating networks via the heat fund was mentioned.

Extension of the “Heating boost”

The "Heating Boost" is extended to collective residential buildings for the connection of a residential building to a heating network, the installation of a collective absorption heat pump of the air/water or water/water type or a collective biomass boiler.

These new measures were taken within the framework of the “Housing” working group as part of the “Energy restraint” plan recently launched to deal with the energy crisis linked to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. On July 25, this working group brought together the Minister for Energy Transition, Agnès Pannier-Runacher, the Minister Delegate for Cities and Housing, Olivier Klein and representatives of public and private players in the housing sector, in the presence of energy companies. and experts.

The participants also expressed their desire to take a step forward in terms of energy sobriety in housing, by working on the implementation of simple actions with quick effects:

• Better enforce the temperature instructions, in particular the 19° heating, because 1 degree less allows 7% less energy consumption.
• Insulate hot water networks crossing unheated spaces, for 5 to 10% energy savings per year.
• Work on a better deployment of the individualization of heating costs which can allow a gain in consumption of 15%.
• Install motion detectors to turn off unnecessary lights in common areas;
• Deploy control systems, in particular thermostats, which allow between 100 and 200 euros in savings each year.
