“This is a fairly unique format (...) This is the first time that we have brought together so many people around the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister,” underlines the presidency.
Will be present, avenue de Ségur (7th) or by videoconference, the general secretaries of ministries, directors of central administration, academic regions, ambassadors, prefects as well as senior officials reporting to the territorial administration of the State.
This summit meeting aims to “achieve the strategic alignment of all State executives around the major priorities” set during the press conference of the Head of State and the general policy declaration of the new Prime minister in January.
The President of the Republic calls in particular for "massive simplification" for all economic sectors, including for "rules in the world of work", in order to achieve the objective of full employment.
Emmanuel Macron will recall the "need to stay the course around the axes +liberate, protect, unite+" and "to accelerate reforms in the current geopolitical, economic and social context".
“He will return to the transformation of the State with several axes of action”, the “territories”, “improving the quality of service in France and abroad” and “adapting to major transitions” , continues the presidency.
State reform is structured around two axes, "deconcentration", particularly around prefects, and "simplification", with the concern for "the effectiveness of public action on the ground".
The Head of State will also specify the "elements of method and the state of mind expected of all State executives" before the Prime Minister declines a certain number of measures, the presidency further specifies.
