Luxclear glass with an anti-corrosion layer synonymous with long-lasting transparency and easy maintenance

Benefiting from the lasting protection provided by its anti-corrosion layer, its surface is not subject to deterioration resulting in the indelible veiled or pitted appearance often observed on traditional glasses exposed to humid environments. Luxclear is also easier to clean and maintain thanks to the layer that prevents scale and soap residue deposits. As AGC now applies the Luxclear layer using an offline physical vapor deposition (PVD) magnetron process, the professional customer and end user have a wider choice of substrates: thus, Luxclear is now available in versions on Clearvision extra-clear glass, but also on Linea Azzurra glass, whose particular aesthetic is provided by its elegant bluish edges.

Luxclear's exceptional resistance to chemical corrosion (class A according to EN1096-2) allows it to preserve the original appearance of the glass through a significant reduction in the aging process and surface damage. A simple rinse with clean water is enough to clean the glass, which results in inexpensive and environmentally friendly maintenance.

Luxclear can be processed and tempered to similar parameters as float glass of the same thickness. It can be cut into straight, circular or curved shapes, beveled, drilled and provided with notches. It can also be laminated or receive special finishes such as screen printing. After tempering in a processing workshop, the final product is in the form of robust safety glass, ready for assembly at the place of final use.
