UFME publishes its new guide “Financing window renovation in 2025”: a complete and educational tool

The Union of Joinery Manufacturers (UFME) is an active supporter of the door and window industry. As in recent months, it has mobilized with public decision-makers, particularly through its Manifesto, which included strong measures around maintaining VAT at 5,5% and stabilizing MaPrimeRénov' aid.

The new edition of its practical guide "Financing window renovation in 2025"* is designed with this desire for support in mind. Following the successive reforms of MaPrimeRénov', among others, it is essential to offer UFME members, and also businesses, households, lessors, and condominium trustees, reliable information.

Downloadable for free, this 17-page tool is educational and concise. It deciphers the main aids and tax incentives** offered to replace joinery in homes and thus sustainably improve their comfort and energy efficiency. It provides keys to understanding, in the form of fact sheets, to better understand existing systems (beneficiaries, eligibility conditions, aid amounts, etc.), and easily identify new features and developments.

Two new features in this guide

In addition to the “MaPrimeRénov': 3 routes”, “My Renovation Assistant”, “5,5% VAT”, “Eco-Zero Rate Loan (Eco-PTZ)” and “Energy Saving Certificates (CEE)” files, two new sections are dedicated to:

MaPrimeRénov' best practices for professionals. The UFME has worked to detail the specific information that must appear on quotes and invoices in order to comply with Anah requirements. This initiative aims to ensure that files are processed quickly and efficiently.

Why is renovating your windows so important?

Windows play a key role in the energy performance of a building. Replacing old joinery (single glazing and first-generation double glazing mainly manufactured before 1) with thermally efficient solutions is a key action to reduce losses and achieve energy savings. For example, it reduces heating requirements by 2000% and primary energy consumption (oil, gas, coal) by 27%.

In France, this work could generate significant benefits including savings estimated at 150 million euros, representing a direct improvement in purchasing power and a reduction of 1,2 million tonnes of CO2 per year.

Beyond improving the comfort and energy class of housing, the implementation of high-performance joinery actively contributes to the sustainability of the building as well as the good health of the occupants (improvement of indoor air quality, acoustic attenuation, etc.).
