The partnership contract was reviewed on Thursday March 30 in the presence of Gerard Deprez, Chairman of LOXAM, and of Tony Estanguet, President of Paris 2024.
Under this partnership, LOXAM will ensure, in a consortium with GL events, the supply of all products and services related to the production and distribution of temporary energy, uninterruptible power supply and temporary temperature at all sites, including the International Broadcast Center, the International Radio and Television Center. This temporary 46 m² structure will house media from all over the world for the duration of the Paris 000 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
A team of more than 350 people will be mobilized to carry out the design, assembly, operation and dismantling operations of these facilities, mobilizing the excellence of an industrial sector present in France.
The power supply concept for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games is to connect the facilities to the electrical distribution network and to deploy a temporary architecture from these connection points. The project therefore includes the installation of 35 High-Voltage delivery stations, Medium-Voltage and Low-Voltage transformers, thousands of distribution cabinets and more than 5 km of cables on all the sites. More than 000 generators will also be pre-positioned to overcome any power supply failure.
LOXAM is also committed to monitoring the environmental impact of its operations by favoring equipment powered by high-performance biofuels. Among its other commitments, the Group will mobilize the VSE & SME fabric and the social and solidarity economy sector to provide part of the services. Finally, the legacy will result in the massive reuse of products and equipment and the almost complete recycling of site waste.
These commitments will be the subject of a report certified by an independent third party after the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Gérard Déprez, President of LOXAM, declares: “LOXAM is proud to bring all its know-how to the organization of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games and to contribute to their success. This event will mark a turning point for our country, for an entire economic sector and naturally for the LOXAM Group, which is already very present internationally in thirty countries. »
