Indeed, in 2018, among the main axes of its societal commitment, LOXAM wanted to emphasize safety, a priority for the European rental leader and a major issue for everyone, always and everywhere. LOXAM therefore launched the first edition of its Internal Security Challenge, which mobilized nearly 8.000 Group employees worldwide (22 countries on 4 continents).
It was for the Management of the company to raise awareness among the greatest number of the need to engage in a process of "co-construction" combining individual and collective initiative.
The identification of the challenges and the definition of the objectives related to Prevention and Safety are exercises that the Management naturally takes care of. On this occasion, it is the contribution of employees, holders of practical and theoretical knowledge in their profession, who daily advise customers, repair and move for their personal and professional needs, which was valued.
This unprecedented, far-reaching approach fits perfectly with the priority that the LOXAM Group gives to safety and illustrates its desire to involve all of the company's employees, whatever the profession, country and culture. Safety is everyone's business, it is important that employees are responsible actors, taking care of their own safety and that of others. This is a major issue of respect for people and the performance of the company. With 272 applications received, 770 participants in France and abroad, the success of this first Security Challenge is a perfect illustration of this. It made it possible to identify and reward 28 proposals in 9 categories aimed at improving the safety of all.
All of the awarded initiatives were the subject of an in-depth study in order to envisage their deployment across the Group in 2019.
This innovative internal initiative launched in the LOXAM Group was acclaimed today by all rental professionals at European level, who awarded LOXAM the ERA CSR Prize.
