Work on this low-consumption building began in the north-eastern suburbs of Paris in 2013, with the aim of accommodating 48 lots (18 T2 apartments, 24 T3 apartments and 6 Q4 apartments) for private use. The design objective of this building is to produce a quality building with an impact of minimized energy consumption - objective in which the thermal bridge breakers participate.
Between June 2013 and February 2014, 906 linear meters of thermal bridge breakers for interior insulation (ITI) were implemented in this six-storey building. The installation of the breakers was monitored by the charge d'affaires Schöck in collaboration with the works manager of SBG LUTECE as well as with the CPC project management.
If the primary function of Schöck Rutherma® circuit breakers is to stop heat loss, thus limiting energy consumption, their integration in a building also makes it possible to improve interior comfort by avoiding the effect of cold spots having an action. negative on the temperatures felt by the occupants. The breaker also prevents the appearance of condensation by pushing back the dew point, thus ensuring an environment free of all mold due to the non-treatment of thermal bridges.
Le Haricot, an innovative building
In addition to their high-performance insulation, the thermal bridge breakers allow the resumption of the structural forces of the mechanical connections treated. The length and shape of the stainless steel reinforcements which pass through the insulating body are calculated to measure to ensure the transmission of stresses (tensile, compressive and cutting forces). The originality of the architectural project has been preserved: all the projecting parts of the building have been isolated and their shapes desired by the AUC cabinet have been preserved. The success of this project results from the cooperation between the design office MC KUZU, the SBG LUTECE works team and the Schöck technical services.
Completely deployed site expertise
At Schöck, the project managers meet the needs of their customers, from technical feasibility to the installation of breakers on construction sites. Customer service is indeed one of the key values of the company. Supporting project managers with construction companies is an asset that sets us apart from our competitors.
The choice for Schöck Rutherma® breakers was motivated by the comprehensive support that the company was able to offer to all the stakeholders present on the “Le Haricot” project, as the client indicates: “We chose Schöck because it is the leader in thermal bridge breakers, both for product quality, compliance with specifications and cost, but also for monitoring project managers during project management, ”said Murat Duzenli, site manager.
Following the success of this cooperation, six new buildings equipped with thermal bridge breakers will be built in this subdivision.
