At a time when the country's gradual deconfinement is underway and the epidemic risk remains high, the main challenge is to ensure that companies and all employees remain mobilized on the absolute need to protect themselves against Covid -19. This involves in particular vaccination, encouraged as part of the vaccination strategy of the health authorities, the possibility of performing self-tests, and the importance of ventilation as an essential preventive measure.
Thus, this new version of the guide incorporates, in accordance with the recommendations of the State, the following modifications:
- Vaccination of employees and employers is encouraged, as part of the vaccination strategy of the health authorities. This vaccination is based on voluntary service and medical confidentiality. It can be carried out by the occupational health services; in this case, the employee may be absent during his working hours after having informed his employer of his absence for a medical examination, without having to specify the reason. Employees in a situation of long-term illness benefit from an absence authorization for this vaccination. In all other cases, employers are encouraged to facilitate employees' access to vaccination. The employee is invited to get closer to his employer in order to determine through dialogue the best way to organize himself.
- Companies can make self-tests available to their employees, if they so wish, in compliance with the rules of voluntary service and medical confidentiality and with information to the employee by a health professional.
- Aeration is an essential preventive measure. It is therefore strongly recommended to ventilate with natural or mechanical ventilation in working order (doors and / or windows open as much as possible, ideally permanently if conditions allow it and at least 5 minutes every hour). A ventilation of the room by two distinct points (door and window for example) is to be privileged. Otherwise, ensure an adequate supply of fresh air by the properly functioning ventilation system.
The OPPBTP reiterates the importance of maintaining barrier gestures, including hand washing.
“Our collective vigilance will be the guarantee of the success of the various stages of deconfinement. Steps that should result in new versions of the sanitary protocol and the OPPBTP guide on June 9 and 30, including expected relaxation of sanitary instructions. " adds Paul Duphil, Secretary General of the OPPBTP.
For the record in his Covid-19 toolkit, the OPPBTP offers a choice of posters to facilitate compliance with good health practices.
