Legoupil Industrie delivers a funeral home in 5 months despite restrictive regulations

With its range of industrialized turnkey buildings, Integral +, Legoupil Industrie delivered in just 5 months a 480 m2 building that fits perfectly into the craft area, but above all complies with the binding regulations of funeral services.

Like more and more undertakers, Jacky Rougereau & Fils wanted to set up in the heart of an artisanal area. Local regulations require the construction of an industrial building that can blend into the existing. Funeral services are also governed by the General Code of Local Authorities (which codifies Law No. 2008-1350 of December 19, 2008), and are subject to very strict and precise regulations. Jacky Rougereau & Fils chose Legoupil Industrie, favoring a collaboration with a local company which offers a global management of the project including the compliance of the building with the specific standards in force.

480 m2 of funeral rooms delivered in 5 months

In response to the need for comprehensive service in the tertiary sector, Legoupil Industrie has therefore developed Intégral +, fully customizable custom buildings. From design to delivery, the manufacturer and installer of turnkey buildings controls all of the processes, guaranteeing great flexibility.

The design office, accustomed to juggling with specific standards such as that of the funeral sector, therefore took charge of the project design.

In just 5 months, the funeral home was delivered, compliant with building codes and particularly strict regulations for funeral services, not to mention accessibility for people with reduced mobility. The ceremony room can accommodate up to 60 people and benefits from reinforced acoustic insulation.

In accordance with the law of 19 December 2008 on the regulation of funeral services, the body preparation laboratory is separate from the part intended for the reception of the public. The parts of this technical part are designed to communicate with each other out of the sight of the public. However, the presentation rooms (of 15m2 each to allow development in accordance with legal requirements) which are intended to accommodate the public also communicate with the technical part, so that the coffins circulate horizontally.

The lounges and the technical part also meet very restrictive health regulations in terms of ventilation and refrigeration thanks to the installation of double-flow ventilation. Drainage systems and floor and wall coverings are designed to withstand frequent and intensive disinfection without alteration.
