Street furniture – LBA unveils a unique collaboration with Jean-Michel Wilmotte

This collaboration is the result of a meeting between two sensibilities: that of Hélène Hardouin, president of LBA and architect by training, and that of a big name in urban design.

With the new Urbicande collection designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte, the French leader in perimeter security LBA continues its exploration of urbanism that is both safe and aesthetic.

This evolution of the “Security by Design” range illustrates an ambition: to bring together technology and beauty, so that the protection of public spaces integrates naturally into the urban landscape.

Together, they have created a collection designed to secure cities without altering their character. A first in the industrial world of perimeter security.

According to Hélène Hardouin, president of LBA: “Jean-Michel Wilmotte and I share the conviction that safety should not be synonymous with visual brutality. ‘Security by Design’ proves that crash-tested street furniture can also beautify the city. Designed for city centers and sensitive public spaces, the new Urbicande collection embodies mastered technical expertise in the service of effective and aesthetic protection.

It is now on display at the LBA showroom in Limonest (69) and also in the one in Paris at 19 rue de la Trémoille (8th arrondissement).

Safety by design: LBA's patented concept

With its “Security by Design” range, LBA has completely reimagined how security systems are integrated into the city. The principle: a unique, crash-tested base, compliant with international standards, capable of stopping a vehicle in the event of an attack or unintentional accident, onto which various elements (benches, fixed bollards, removable bollards, planters, etc.) can be added. This innovation ensures public safety while promoting aesthetic harmony in public spaces.

A complete, coherent, elegant collection made in France

The Urbicande Collection already includes a fixed bollard, a slim bollard, several types of barriers, benches, and a planter. Each piece combines impact-resistant technology with refined lines, in a collection designed to be both functional and harmonious for urban living.
