Launch of the new LED Controller – RGBW Homematic IP

With the LED Controller – RGBW Homematic IP, the lighting in the house can be adjusted according to individual wishes: pleasant lighting moods, captivating color changes or light that adapts automatically to the time of day.

Flexible connection options allow the use of single-color, multi-color or white LED strips with various intensities. Diverse profiles and automation make LED lighting an essential part of the smart home.

The LED Controller – RGBW Homematic IP is ideal for automating LED lighting, whether it's highlighting colors or illuminating an entire room in a pleasant, flexible and energy-efficient way. The wide range of connection options allows the device to adapt to almost any application. Types of LED strips can be used with the device:

- up to 4 single-color LED strips

- up to 2 dimmable white LED strips

- an RGB LED strip

- an RGBW LED strip

Like all brand devices, the LED controller can be conveniently configured and operated using the free Homematic IP app. It supports all the functions of the Homematic IP lighting control, for example those of groups and time profiles, useful for saving energy or for being woken up in the morning by progressive light. In addition, the user can choose from various settings depending on the connected LED strip.

Correct lighting for a healthy life

To work efficiently and be healthy, it is necessary to sleep well, but artificial lighting does not promote restful sleep. The “dynamic daylight” function of the Homematic IP – RGBW Controller solves this problem by automatically adapting the lighting to natural light and therefore to the human biorhythm.

In the morning, the tonality of the light slowly changes from warm, reddish colors to bright light with cooler white components. This increases the ability to concentrate and the energy level and keeps them high throughout the day. In the evening, the percentage of red light increases again to signal to the body that it can now relax and regenerate. Thus, "dynamic daylight" helps to manage everyday life more efficiently and relaxed.

To make the house warmer, the "Dim2Warm" setting allows the LED strip to mimic the dimming behavior of a conventional light bulb. The darker the lighting, the warmer the color of the light – the perfect feature to create the perfect atmosphere for a romantic dinner or an intimate evening watching TV on the sofa. The "dynamic daylight" and "Dim2Warm" functions require the connection of a dimmable white LED strip.

Combined with an RGB or RGBW LED strip, the Homematic IP LED Controller creates real moments of conviviality. Colors give personality to living spaces, creating a warm and festive atmosphere at home. Preset color profiles such as "Campfire" or "Cascade" provide an ever-changing color scheme. If the user wishes, he can also create his own color profiles by adjusting them, set the light intensity, lighting duration and transitions in fine detail, according to his preferences.
