Called "I decarbonize", the platform aims to enable companies to find solutions to reduce their CO2 emissions or their energy consumption, and those who provide technical solutions to find customers.
A first activity report will be drawn on September 7 at an event in Bercy bringing together all the stakeholders, Sylvie Jehanno, CEO of Dalkia, a subsidiary of EDF, and Stéphane Michel, director of the renewable gas and electricity business at TotalEnergies, sponsors of the project.
The project is carried by the sector bringing together manufacturers of "new energy systems", chaired by Mrs. Jehanno and Mr. Michel. It is funded by Ademe as part of the France Relance plan.
"The idea is not to reproduce what happened in photovoltaics where most solar panels come from Asia, there will be a lot of decarbonization projects, this is an opportunity for French industry" who plays a "very collective" game on the subject by launching this platform, said Ms. Jehanno.
Solar panel manufacturing in Europe is dead due to overpriced prices, underpriced China and erratic government policies.
"It's a race to deploy solutions that will make it possible to lower prices and stay in the race for competitiveness" by supporting French or European manufacturers, summed up Aurélie Picart, general delegate of the Sector Strategy Committee. .
The site offers three main themes depending on whether a company is seeking to "save energy", reduce its CO2 emissions through "low-carbon energy or heat", or, when this is impossible, to "capture the CO2 emitted" to recover it.
For the moment, very few companies with needs or who have solutions to offer have submitted their files there.
The Aztep company, based in Pecq in the Yvelines, offers "high temperature concentrated solar heat" solutions "to "take advantage of every hour of sunshine in order to reduce its gas consumption". Bultane, initially specializing in soldering irons and based in Montpellier, proposes to introduce small electrolyzers directly into a gas boiler, to produce hydrogen in the burner.
"The projects must be described on both sides in a sufficiently precise manner, we do not want it to be publicity, there must be a service purpose" insisted Mr. Michel. "There will be a moderation of the site organized by the sector", he warned. In particular, the providers of solutions must specify whether their technology is "French origin" or not.
The site is accessible free of charge, after registration. There will also be "regional workshops" in conjunction with local authorities.
"We have been working on this project for more than 18 months with the interministerial "task force" set up by the State (Bercy, Ministry of Energy Transition, Matignon services, Ademe and the public investment bank) , said Aurélie Picart, who hopes that it will act as an “accelerator” for energy transition and for industry.
“If the electric vehicle were a net provider of more jobs, we would go much faster towards electric,” she underlines.
