It was led by Sylvain Poudevigne, Engineering and Methods manager, in charge of applications linked to ANC at CERIB, as a product certification body mandated by AFNOR Certification. The conference was an opportunity to present the advantages of the new NF ANC brand for the end customer, local authorities, insurers, installers and industrial manufacturers.
Non-collective sanitation (ANC) designates individual domestic wastewater treatment facilities. These systems concern homes which are not served by a public wastewater collection network and which must therefore treat their wastewater themselves before discharging it into the natural environment.
A quality mark and proof of conformity
In view of the regulatory and normative context, the new NF mark is now established as proof of quality to distinguish non-collective sanitation products. Issued by an independent and impartial body, NF certification is a quality mark that complements the declarative CE marking (tanks and treatment devices), ministerial approval (treatment devices) and quality charters.
Reflecting a high level of technical requirements to meet expectations and market developments, it is the benchmark for all players in the profession by ensuring that ANC products comply with standards for:
- septic tanks for traditional industries: NF EN 12566-1, the implementation of which relates to standard NF DTU 64.1
- treatment devices (filters and purification stations): NF EN 12566-3, approved by the ministries in charge of Ecology and Health according to the decree of September 7, 2009 modified.
Demanding criteria, in-situ monitoring and third party testing
The new NF ANC certification defines requirements for certified products and the manufacturer's quality management, as well as the associated documentation. It also includes in-situ monitoring and regular tests carried out by a third party.
Requirements on certified products with demanding design criteria (minimum storage capacity) and with guaranteed performance in terms of mechanical resistance, efficiency, etc.
Requirements on associated documentation (for pits) with technical documentation in accordance with the rules in force.
In-situ monitoring by a third party (for treatment devices):
- guaranteeing better traceability of the installations at the installation site by an in-situ examination,
- aimed at certifying the durability of the product in service,
- and in-situ measures aimed at ensuring purification performance.
Regular tests provided by a third party on raw materials, equipment and also on pits and treatment devices.
Requirements for the quality management of the manufacturer with provisions continuously assessed by a third party, control of raw materials, supplies and equipment, control of manufacturing, assembly and assembly, controls on finished products and customer return management.
Strengths of robustness, reliability, durability and durability
A benchmark for all stakeholders in the profession, the NF ANC certification has all the assets to meet the requirements of industrial manufacturers, installers, design offices, SPANCs, as well as local authorities, individuals and insurers.
- For manufacturers, it demonstrates the reliability of products to ensure the satisfaction of their customers and the promotion of products satisfying sustainably for use.
- For installers, it provides the guarantee of an implementation documentation respecting the rules of the art and the guarantee of working with robust products.
- For design offices, it provides support in the choice of products.
- For the end customer, local authorities and insurers, it provides the guarantee of the conformity of the installed product, the guarantee of product reliability over time, the guarantee of maintaining performance.
Clearly certified characteristics
The NF ANC certification provides transparent information on the certified characteristics in terms of in-situ purification performance, service durability, implementation documentation, nominal capacity and storage capacity of sludge, purification performance and hydraulic efficiency, dimensional characteristics, structural strength. , water tightness and durability.
