Launch of an information mission on the development of a sector of biofuels, sustainable synthetic fuels and green hydrogen

This fact-finding mission was created on the initiative of the Union Centriste (UC) group, within the framework of article 6 bis of the Rules of the Senate, which confers on each group a "right of drawing" for the creation of one commission of inquiry or one fact-finding mission per parliamentary year.

In a rapidly changing European and international context, and while the decarbonization of the transport sector appears to be a major challenge for achieving climate neutrality by 2050, the mission intends to draw up a strategy for the development of a biofuel sector, sustainable synthetic fuels and green hydrogen as needed.

It plans to deliver its findings in June 2023.

The office of the mission is thus composed:
