After having "accompanied 50.000 young graduates" thanks to its device "from September 2020 to summer 2021", Apec now wants to "support 40.000 young people in higher education in their search for a job, internship or work-study program, between the start of the 2021 school year and the summer of 2022 ", she said.
According to the association, "despite a resumption of recruitments and a volume of job offers which has returned to its pre-health" pre-crisis level, "the situation remains worrying for a certain number of young" graduates.
"We are unfortunately seeing a + bottleneck effect +. The young graduates of the 2020 promotions, or even 2019 have not yet all found a job" and "they will be joined by those of the 2021 promotion who arrive on the job market" , underlined the director general of Apec, Gilles Gateau, quoted in the press release.
The Objectif Premier Emploi scheme offers young graduates "personalized services and advice, during individual meetings, face to face or remotely", recalls Apec, which also offers group workshops.
The association also signed on Monday with the State a "new public service mandate", covering the period 2022-2026, "in complementarity with the public employment service".
"The Apec model has shown all its usefulness, and in particular in the crisis. This is the case of the Objectif Premier Emploi program which has enabled many young people to be supported in their job searches," said estimated the Minister of Labor, Élisabeth Borne, quoted in the press release.
