Preparing your project well is essential
Individuals are invited to contact France Rénov', which is a neutral and free public service, for information and advice on the work to be carried out according to their needs.
It is also recommended to have several quotes made to be able to compare and not to rush into the decision and the signature of the quotes.
Protect yourself from abusive canvassing
Administrations never canvass individuals. No company can claim responsibility for Anah or any other public body with individuals.
In addition, cold calling has been prohibited since July 2020.
On the internet, unscrupulous sites, and which may use the logos of public bodies, invite individuals to leave their contact details. These contact details, in particular for tax purposes, can be used to usurp the identity of individuals. It is strongly recommended that you never give them away.
In the event of door-to-door canvassing, individuals are invited not to give in to commercial pressure and not to sign anything during the visit. A withdrawal period of 15 days must be clearly indicated on the documents, and the company, moreover, cannot ask you for personal information during the visit, nor leave with this information.
Manage your application for financial aid
For any request for aid, in particular from MaPrimeRénov', individuals must create their account themselves and then designate the company as their agent. Due to the risk of identity theft, companies are not authorized to carry out this process, nor to use the tax or personal data of their customers.
In the event of difficulties in accessing digital technology, a relative, the France Services houses, the municipal center for social action, the France Rénov' spaces, can accompany individuals to help them in their approach.
Follow the realization of the works
If difficulties are observed during work with companies, individuals can contact the Directorate General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Prevention via the site: signal.conso.gouv.fr, the law firm closest to their home or a France Rénov' adviser.
Ensure acceptance of works
Before signing the acceptance of the work, it is necessary to check the conformity between the estimate and the work carried out. In case of disputes, the mediator of consumption will be able to orient and guide households in their approach.
