Ademe launches the 5th edition of the Sustainable Energy call for projects

The call for research projects (APR) Production, Management and Efficient Uses launched by ADEME, aims to support public policies and make a significant contribution to the “Sustainable Production and Renewable Energy” and “Sustainable Cities and Territories” programs of ADEME's 1 - 2014 RDI [2020] strategy.

It targets in particular the research questions identified in ADEME's strategic roadmaps and some of the themes considered to be key in the SNRE.

This 5th edition of the Sustainable Energy call for projects focuses on the optimization of energy systems. It is structured around two thematic axes:

Thematic axis 1 aims to optimize energy systems and reduce their impact by improving technological building blocks. It concerns :

the production of energy from renewable sources,
the electrochemical battery
hydrogen and fuel cells
decarbonization of industry

Thematic axis 2 promotes the integrated design of energy systems and their regulations. It therefore concerns:

support and assessment of the transition of energy systems
the design and management of energy networks and the optimization of hydrogen chains
the systemic approach to decarbonization in the industrial sector
changes in mobility and their contribution to the energy transition.

Who can submit a project?

The call for projects is aimed at public and private research actors in the following fields and sectors:

Energy production from renewable sources with reduced impact
Electrochemical storage
Hydrogen and fuel cells
Industry decarbonization
Assessment and innovative regulations of energy systems:
Assessment and optimization of the energy and low-carbon performance of development operations and the socio-economic analysis of public policies accompanying hydrogen technologies
Design and management of energy networks
- District heating and cooling networks and electricity networks with the optimization of the integration of renewable energies and the optimization of hydrogen chains
Systemic approach to decarbonising industry
- Integration of low-carbon materials and renewable and recovered energies, and the establishment of new financing models and public policies for a low-carbon industry
Evolution of mobility and their contributions to the energy transition
