KSB launches Calio Pro, energy-efficient circulator for large buildings

Technology at the service of energy efficiency

With their high efficiency, the new pump units already meet future energy efficiency standards. Thanks to the intelligent program DynamicControl integrated into the pump, it is possible to save around 40% more energy compared to conventional proportional pressure regulation. Completely software-based, this function requires no installation of new sensors or actuators and therefore does not incur any additional costs. All necessary information is automatically supplied to the pumps by internal signals. The use of this program excludes any under-supply in the event of modification of the installation conditions.

The new range is available in 25 sizes. It is capable of supplying a maximum flow of 24 m3/h and its total head can reach 12 mCE. The Calio Pro range is fitted as standard with centralized potential-free fault reporting for simple transmission to the Technical Building Management.

Easy installation and simplified use

Without additional software or hardware modules, it is possible to switch two pumps - one being used as the main pump and the other as a backup pump - automatically in the event of a malfunction or according to a time program. Thus, investment and commissioning costs can be minimized.

Assembly and commissioning are very simple, because all operating modes, functions and setpoints can be set using the keys on the display keypad screen. The user sees the set head or, in open loop operation, the speed level displayed. Unauthorized modification of operating parameters can be prevented by locking the keypad.

Designed for a temperature range of -10°C to +110°C, these new units cover a wide range of applications, from transporting heating water and refrigerants to industrial circulation systems. The range also includes a double Calio Pro Z version.
