The manager of shopping centers Klépierre published Thursday, April 28 a turnover up 4,7% in the first quarter to 359,5 million euros, benefiting from the end of the health crisis.
The group, owner of the Val d'Europe and Créteil Soleil shopping centers east of Paris, maintains its financial objectives for 2022, while considering that "persistent inflation could potentially impact household consumption for certain products and services marketed by tenants.
Klépierre, which focuses its activity on European metropolises, saw its net rental income soar compared to the first quarter of 2021 (+71%), when many countries imposed restrictions or closures on businesses.
Present in 13 countries, the group nevertheless saw its activity disrupted by the Covid-19, particularly in the Netherlands, which had imposed significant restrictions in January, as well as in Germany, where a health pass was required in the shops.
“The fashion segment was disrupted in January by the Omicron variant,” explains Klépierre, as was the catering segment where health rules remained.
