As it could not be held in 2020, the 10th edition of the Forum Bois Construction was postponed until this summer. Among the exhibitors will be the Kebony wood brand, which uses a patented and environmentally friendly production process to improve the properties of softwoods by giving them the characteristics of tropical hardwoods.
For three days, the Forum will host several thousand specialists, coming from all over the world to learn about the latest wooden construction systems and their capacity for mixing with other materials. Conferences and plenary sessions will be the opportunity to exchange between professionals, while this year appears a novelty: Saturday will be open to the general public. An opportunity for Kebony, which is aimed at building professionals and architects as well as individuals who want to use a resistant, stable, elegant, maintenance-free and environmentally friendly wood for their construction projects.
Kebony technology is a patented production process that improves the properties of softwoods to give them characteristics comparable to those of exotic woods. Thanks to an environmentally friendly process, the woods are impregnated with a biological liquid from agricultural crop waste. By heating the wood, the furfuryl polymers are impregnated into the cell walls of the wood, increasing its durability and dimensional stability, without sacrificing its aesthetics.
