Discover: Pegasus Flexishunt, an exclusive stainless steel system for the renovation of collective housing, and the construction of a new low-carbon production site in La Janais, near Rennes.
Pegasus Flexishunt, a unique French stainless steel system dedicated to the renovation of collective housing
In June 2024, Joncoux unveiled its new Pegasus Flexishunt range, allowing the connection of up to 6 individual Very High Energy Performance (THPE) gas boilers in collective housing. The Shunt, Shunt Duo and Alsace masonry conduits are intended for the connection of type B1 gas appliances. Pegasus Flexishunt thus allows THPE boilers to be installed in these collective conduits. The combustion air intake of the appliances is carried out through the annular space located between the existing conduit and the Pegasus Flexishunt system. Four elements make up the range: the 316 stainless steel hose, the low finishing kit per dwelling, stack and terminal as well as an accessory kit to facilitate the completion of the work. The range benefits from several certifications: CSTB DTA N°14-2/2311 for the evacuation of sealed and non-sealed combustion products from gas condensing appliances in complete safety, terminal testing by the EIFFEL laboratory and certification by the LNE to avoid the re-circulation of stale air in the combustion air. This system is eligible for Energy Saving Certificates (BAR-TH-163). More information on the Pegasus Flexishunt system: https://www.joncoux.fr/fr
A new low-carbon production site for tomorrow’s industrial excellence
Since 2016, Joncoux has been established in Noyal-Châtillon-sur-Seiche on a site with an area of 16m000 dedicated to part of the production, logistics and support functions. In April 2, the brand laid the foundation stone of its third production site, designed and conceived to integrate low-carbon logic, from its construction to its operation, for a strong and sustainable industry. This flagship industrial project of the Pôle d'Excellence Industrielle de la Janais will be operational in spring 2024. "For over a century now, innovation has been part of the group's DNA. This is reflected in a strong R&D policy and the continuous design of new, ever more efficient products and systems. The construction of our new low-carbon production site in La Janais marks a turning point for Joncoux, which confirms its territorial anchoring at the heart of a major reindustrialization project in the region. A project that is part of a long-term vision where committing to a strong and sustainable industry also means committing to future generations," emphasizes Jacques-Olivier Joncoux, Chairman and CEO of Sphering Group.
Bio-sourced materials are used to create a wooden frame façade. Almost the entire roof is equipped with photovoltaic panels that will provide 34% of electricity needs. A large sheltered area will be dedicated to bicycles to promote soft mobility on a daily basis and charging stations for electric vehicles will be installed in the car park. The site will also benefit from green spaces to preserve biodiversity, trees will be planted to provide natural solar shade. Automation of the building's energy management is also planned to optimise consumption. The brand's expertise is highlighted with the installation of a biomass boiler and a dual-flow ventilation system for optimal thermal comfort and air quality. Rainwater will be collected and draining paving stones will be installed. Relaxation and work areas with natural light (large glazing on the roof and façade) will be provided to promote employee well-being.
