Also president of the CMA Pays-de-La-Loire, and director of the SIMM company (industrial company of mechanical modeling), Joël Fourny, took advantage of this renewed confidence to announce that he will continue the action plan, initiated over the past 18 months, and unveiled its top priorities for this new term.
According to Joël Fourny, president of CMA France: “The fight I want to lead alongside you is to defend the CMA model: their role is as useful as it is necessary to guarantee the sustainable development of the local economy. This means continuing to transform the CMA network to better meet the needs of the craft sector and our craft businesses. "
While the network has demonstrated its usefulness and responsiveness from the start of the crisis, the Chairman of CMA France intends to continue in this direction. He particularly insisted on the fact that his action would be guided by taking into account the realities experienced by artisans on their territory and the need to offer them appropriate responses while ensuring that the effectiveness of CMA.
To achieve this, Joël Fourny set out the following priorities in front of all the presidents of the CMA network:
- defend the interests of the craft industry by guaranteeing the sustainability of the network and its resources;
- initiate concrete actions to contribute to national reflection on the place of the craft sector, “Made in France” and the local economy on the occasion of the presidential election and legislative elections;
- promote the network of CMAs and the craft sector through ambitious communication projects such as the “Foundation for Handicrafts”;
- strengthen support for craft businesses on new issues such as digital technology and ecological transition;
- develop the quality of the service offer of CMAs by pursuing the creation of innovative and efficient products, by developing a territorialized and digitalized approach to the training offer and by formulating proposals to better take into account the reality of micro- business.
Joël Fourny also added that his re-election took place in a context where the optimism displayed by the craftsmen was also combined with a need for reinforced support. Faced with the 5th wave of COVID-19 and the tensions that can weigh on the activity of craft businesses, the President of CMA France intends to continue efforts to transform the CMA network as well as the support provided locally to craft businesses to enable them to benefit from the economic recovery.
According to Joël Fourny, president of CMA France: “The raison d'être of the Chambers of Trades and Crafts is first and foremost to be a useful network at the service of craftsmen. I am honored that my colleagues have renewed their confidence in me and I appreciate the responsibility I have to represent them for the next 5 years. I will be the President of all, and above all of the usefulness, the realization and the success in the service of all the craftsmen of all the territories. "
Good prospects are opening for the new president of CMA France, who will celebrate the network's centenary in 2025.
