Jérôme Nérot, a double commercial & marketing expertise, developed in the construction sector
Holder of a Master II in international marketing (ISEC Paris) and an Executive MBA (EDHEC Business School), Jérôme Nérot started his career in the field of sales management in 1996, in a subsidiary of the Total group.
In 2000, he continued his career in the construction sector and became management controller at Leroy-Merlin. Subsequently, he strengthened his expertise in the areas of commercial strategy, marketing and support for organizations in the transformation phase, within various structures:
- The Ministry of Labor, from 2004 to 2007 - Consultant in change management.
- Wilo-Group, European manufacturer of pumps and circulators for the building, water and industrial sectors, from 2008 to 2017 - Successively responsible for Key Accounts and the statistics team, then Sales Manager.
- France, specialist in scaffolding systems, from 2017 to 2020 - Sales & Marketing Director France.
Jérôme Nérot thus masters all the marketing & sales functions fundamental in the development of organizations, and is perfectly familiar with the construction markets and challenges.
It is in this context that he now joins CSTB, taking responsibility for the Sales & Marketing Department, under the responsibility of its Chairman, Etienne Crépon.
He also becomes a member of the CSTB Executive Committee.

A Sales & Marketing Department in support of the deployment of the CSTB business plan
A place of expertise and listening, CSTB, which anticipates the buildings, districts and cities of tomorrow, places its customers and partners, public or private players, large groups or VSEs / SMEs, at the heart of all its actions and orientations.
This strong commitment, a guarantee of the quality of services and innovative operational responses to market expectations, constitutes the common thread of the business plan which formalizes the dynamic of evolution and modernization of CSTB.
To support its deployment, CSTB is strengthening its organization with a dedicated Sales & Marketing Department, integrating the current Marketing Department. Led by Jérôme Nérot, this Department will be tasked with offering players, customers and partners a simplified and accessible offer, in a logic of multidisciplinarity.
Organized around 5 key activities (research and expertise, evaluation, testing, certification and dissemination of knowledge), covering all components of construction, at the scale of materials and processes, of the building and the city, s 'relying on multiple skills and cutting-edge equipment, this offer is today unmatched in France.
The challenge for the Sales & Marketing Department is to make it easier for players to understand this diversity of services and services offered. To do this, it will act at the same time:
- Upstream to analyze and understand changes in the construction market, today and tomorrow;
- Downstream to define offers in line with these developments, responding to the major challenges and trends in the sector, in connection with environmental, energy and digital transitions.
It will work in synergy with all the operational departments and will draw on all the complementary skills provided by the CSTB teams.
