Jeroen De Temmerman, 43, succeeds him from now on.
Lieven Malfait joined Unilin Insulation in 1990 before quickly taking over as president of the company based in Desselgem in Belgium, which at the time employed around fifty employees on the site. Today, the Unilin group's Business Unit has more than 1000 employees spread across 8 factories and 5 countries (France with its production unit in Sury-le-Comtal, Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland and the United Kingdom) which , together, achieve a turnover of more than half a billion euros. Lieven Malfait retiring in the first quarter of 2024, Jeroen De Temmerman succeeds him immediately. They will work closely together during this transition period.
An MBA graduate from INSEAD, Jeroen De Temmerman joined Unilin Insulation in 2015 as Director of Operations, a role which allowed him to acquire in-depth knowledge of products and processes as well as factory operations. He then carried out various more global projects. In his new role, his mission will be to continue to develop the company.
For Jeroen De Temmerman: « We want to double turnover in five years. This is ambitious, but absolutely not unachievable when we look at the figures from previous years. We are a strong company with a solid foundation, but we must continue to grow by looking at what complementary products we can bring to market and what markets we can still explore. We also want to expand geographically, particularly in Eastern Europe. »
