Jean-Philippe Ndobo-Epoy now occupies the position of Technical Director of Sto France, replacing Dominique Girard, who has retired.
He is in charge of the technical support team made up of 8 people, relations with CSTB (technical advice) and external laboratories, technical developments with architects, project managers and project owners.
“What I liked most about Sto France is the great diversity of projects and facade systems offered, whether for the ITE, the renovation and the cladding. There is no daily routine, every day I discover a new project, you have to know how to be reactive! ".
With 20 years of experience in R&D and marketing in construction, Jean-Philippe was passionate about materials from the start of his studies. With his engineering degree from ESPCI Paris in hand, he began his career at Lafarge, where he remained for 6 years. There he completed his thesis on cement hydration before taking up the post of R&D engineer.
In 2008, he joined the Saint Gobain group where he remained there for 13 years. Successively R&D engineer, international product manager, R&D group leader and international strategy & innovation director - Insulation, Jean-Philippe has the opportunity to participate in the development of new insulation solutions in France but also in the United States. This expatriation allows him to discover a different way of working with a more rational approach to the valuation of field trials.
He sees the end of his adventure at Saint Gobain as an opportunity to find a more operational position.
“I spent many years in R&D and strategic marketing, I was starting to miss the field. I wanted to come back to more concrete missions and regain contact with customers. The position at Sto France was perfect! "
Accustomed to collaborative digital tools, Jean-Philippe has been able to take his marks within Sto France serenely, despite the current unprecedented context of health crisis, and create links with his teams. His only regret: not yet being able to share moments of conviviality with his colleagues.
Aged 44, this sportsman passionate about mountain hikes is readily involved in the subject of the 2024 Olympic Games, a veritable laboratory for high-rise wooden constructions, for which Sto France already has solid experience.
