This appointment is part of a strategy to strengthen the governance of the association and to mobilize in favor of a plural and diversified energy mix where gas energy, ultimately renewable, must play its full role in achieving carbon neutrality in the building.
Jean-Charles COLAS-ROY is an engineer with a double degree from the Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble (PHELMA 2002 then ENSE3 2003). In 2004, he co-founded the company H3C-energies which supports its customers in optimizing their energy consumption.
At the same time, he became involved in politics and became a municipal councilor for the municipality of Saint-Martin-d'Hères in 2016.
In 2017, he was elected deputy for the 2nd constituency of Isère.
In the National Assembly, he sits on the Commission for Sustainable Development and Regional Planning, for which he was the rapporteur for the bill putting an end to the exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons in France. A specialist in energy transition, he holds various positions:
- Co-Chairman of the “Green energies” study group.
- Vice-Chairman of the “Economic challenges of the energy industrial sector” study group.
- Whip (Coordinator) of the LREM deputies of the DDAT Commission.
In 2022, as part of Emmanuel MACRON's presidential campaign, he was appointed "ecological transition" programmatic relay for the President-Candidate.
From 2017 to 2022, Jean-Charles COLAS-ROY is a member of the Board of Directors of the Ecological Transition Agency (Ademe).
