Jacques Mulbert takes over as head of ABB France to accelerate growth

Jacques Mulbert took over as head of the ABB group in France on September 1, 2015. Based on the Cergy site (95), he oversees the activities of ABB, the world leader in energy and automation technologies, in France and the Benelux.

One month before the start of COP21 and while the debates on the energy transition and the competitiveness of French industry are gaining importance with political and economic decision-makers, Jacques Mulbert joins ABB with the will to make it a a major player in the French low-carbon energy market. Jacques Mulbert wishes in particular to strengthen ABB's ability to support France and all of its economic sectors - industry, utilities, transport and infrastructure - in the energy transition through the development of innovative solutions capable of meeting their ambitions for economic and environmental performance.

Jacques Mulbert brings to ABB his experience in the energy sector, acquired throughout his career. A graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace and holder of an MBA from HEC, he began as a Strategy Consultant with OC&C, then joined the Schneider Electric group. He held various positions there for 14 years: Internal auditor and then Plant Manager, he contributed to the creation of the Joint Venture with Toshiba (speed variation) of which he became President a few years later, after having led a specialized Nordic group. in building control (ESMI). In 2008, Jacques Mulbert joined Areva T&D and took responsibility for the GIS activity before joining the group's nuclear branch as Executive Vice-President of the Equipment BU. In 2012, he became Deputy Director of the Reactors and Services Business Group and left for Beijing to ensure its development in Asia.
