The three brands intend to support them in accelerating their wood construction projects by developing partnerships to co-construct solutions in response to the technical issues of this construction method.
Business expertise serving the challenges of wood construction
With their technical knowledge in the fields of energy efficiency, acoustics, fire protection and humidity, four major challenges in wood construction, ISOVER, Placo® and Isonat offer a complete range of solutions made in France :
- ISOVER designs sustainable insulation solutions to meet the challenges of thermal efficiency, acoustics and fire protection. The specialist is part of a continuous process of optimizing the environmental impact of its products, energy efficiency, indoor air quality and well-being.
- Placo® is committed to the development of products dedicated to sustainable housing. A pioneer in plasterboard in France, the expert is constantly innovating in order to offer technical solutions that meet the acoustic, thermal, decorative, indoor air quality requirements, etc. of individuals and professionals.
- Isonate, an innovative company, specializes in bio-based insulation in wood fibers. The company designs and sources in France for all of its ranges and insulating panels dedicated to interior and exterior insulation.
These three experts have several references in the field to their credit. This is evidenced by their participation in the Sensations project in Strasbourg, the first wood structure program in France developed by the Strasbourg Eurometropolis and carried out by Bouygues Immobilier and KOZ Architecture. Several solutions have been prescribed: Placoplatre BA 18S and Placoflam® which contribute to fire protection, GR 32 glass wool for thermal performance, Placomarine® for humidity resistance, Placo® Duo'Tech® 25 and Domisol LR to optimize acoustics, Activ'Air® plasterboards for indoor air quality.
Strong partnerships to provide solutions that meet market expectations
“Our ambition is to create synergies with the players in wood construction, in order to grow the sector together. Our recent partnership with MATHIS, a major player in the design, manufacture and construction of buildings with a wooden structure, testifies to this strong will. The multiplication of this type of synergy will allow us to mutually nourish our reflections in order to provide solutions that meet the expectations of the market. ". Nicolas FERRY, Marketing Director ISOVER, Placo® and Isonat
“ISOVER and Placo® have very complementary expertise to that of MATHIS in meeting the challenges linked to wood construction, particularly in terms of fire and acoustics. This has enabled us, in a short time, to develop in partnership the AZURTEC-Placo® floor system which brings a high performance solution to the market. We were also able to rely on the skills of the Sustainable Development team of ISOVER and Placo® to carry out the FDES of this system. ". Frank Mathis, Chairman and CEO MATHIS
“Facilitating the acceleration of the advent of the sustainable city is inevitably accompanied by the massive demonstration of the sustainable aptitude for the use of low-carbon construction solutions. The construction of this demonstration by the evaluation, allows the faster structuring of the associated sectors, thanks to the recognition of their processes in current technique. Whether at the level of product development, or at the scale of the city, this is the pragmatic goal that we have set ourselves and that we are pursuing through all the innovation support missions provided. with the largest contractors. The many assessment procedures undertaken by ISOVER, Placo® and Isonat fit perfectly into this same strategy. ". Eric DIBLING, Founder and Director of INGENECO Technologies; Assistance to Project Ownership, Engineering, Expertise, Research
“ISOVER, Placo® and Isonat have been committed for many years to promoting innovative solutions, while ensuring the entire chain of the quality of the solutions offered and put on the market. Thus, the numerous technical opinions available to ISOVER, Placo® and Isonat, validating the field of use and the implementation of solutions, validations by fire or acoustic tests, are all evidence available to our customers. . Wood building designers can therefore rely with confidence on our joint expertise to support them on their projects. " Stéphanie ROCHE, Marketing Manager - Buildings Markets Division ISOVER, Placo® and Isonat
Providers of global solutions for all walls
Inform, accompany, guide: a limited edition box
ISOVER, Placo® and Isonat have created for the International Wood Construction Forum a limited edition set, designed as a guide to wood construction for collective housing. It is introduced by a presentation of the values and commitments of the three experts in the sustainable management of natural resources, eco-innovation, logistics and life cycle analysis.
This didactic tool made of 43 double-sided product sheets covering all four walls:
- partitions,
- facades,
- floors,
- roofs.
Educational, they present the fundamentals of each solution via a 3D view, their fields of application, their benefits, their performances, a detailed schematic composition of the system and a technical description.
Sustainable commitments to meet the challenges of wood construction
Sustainable management of resources and raw materials
ISOVER, Placo® and Isonat share the value of sustainable management of resources and raw materials. Everything is done to respect this major commitment at the heart of their DNA. For example, ISOVER glass wools contain between 40% and 80% recycled glass. 100% biobased, the binder of its new wool is made from raw materials from the cereal and sugar industries. The Placo® plasterboards concerned incorporate an average of 20% recycled materials. The cardboard used comes from responsibly managed forests or from 100% recycled material. Placo® operates its underground and aerial quarries responsibly with environmental monitoring and rehabilitation. For its part, Isonat uses Douglas Fir, PEFC certified, for the manufacture of its insulation. The wood chips that make up its products come from sawmill waste in the Roanne basin, sourced within a maximum radius of 60 km around the factory.
Eco-innovation
The three experts make every effort to meet the requirements of professionals aiming for HQE, E + C-, Biosourced Building… labeling procedures. Their products and solutions have FDES, available on the INIES database and calculated over a lifetime 50 years old. ISOVER and Placo® are the leading suppliers of FDES in France. Another exemplary service: the LEAN by Placo® offer, which minimizes waste on construction sites by delivering the right quantity pre-cut to the right place.
End-of-life management of products
ISOVER and Placo® did not wait for the advent of the AGEC law to commit to managing the end of life of their products. ISOVER glass wool and Placo® plasterboard are 100% and infinitely recyclable. ISOVER has set up the first sector in the world for recycling glass wool waste from the construction industry: ISOVER Recycling. The leading plasterboard recycler in France, the Placo® Recycling sector has for 13 years been able to recycle plasterboard waste, reintroduced into the production of new products.
