To support individuals and professionals to see more clearly, ISOVER offers a whole system to better understand EWCs, fight against fuel poverty and reduce energy consumption.
EWCs, a powerful lever for developing professional turnover
Reminder of the EWC system
Since 2005, the State encourages individuals and communities to carry out energy renovation works in exchange for assuming part of the costs of these works in the form of a premium or vouchers assumed by energy suppliers and fuel distributors (the obligated).
Are notably eligible for EWCs, insulation works for attics, walls, floors and ceilings for buildings existing for more than two years at the date of initiation of the operation. The applicant can be the owner, tenant or lessor.
With the current EWC objectives (1 TWh cumac), these are close to 9 billion euros of EWC to be realized. In other words, 9 billion euros to seize on the energy renovation market, in particular by insulating homes!
Insulation is at the heart of the EWC system with the “boost” device
Since early 2019, the EWC system has been amplified thanks to the “insulation boost” premium which helps all households, everywhere in France, to carry out insulation work at a lower cost. The subsidized aid is made without conditions of financial resources and can be cumulated for a maximum assumption of the cost of the works.
Thus, the EWCs combine with the CITE (Energy Transition Tax Credit), the VAT rate at 5,5% and the zero rate eco-loan (ECO-PTZ), allowing savings on the total cost of works ranging from 50 to 70% *. So many levers for companies to get construction sites!

ISOVER answers questions asked by professionals
If, on average, artisans know four aid systems for energy renovation works, the CEE (35%) and the insulation boost (21%) remain at the bottom of the ranking, far behind the classic 5.5% VAT ( 81%), PTZ (61%) and CITE (60%). The fact remains that the professionals who, knowing the EWCs, deem them “complex” for individuals, thus feeding a plethora of received ideas on the subject. From September 16, and for two months, ISOVER launches a vast communication campaign which will serve as an amplifier to use the implementation of Energy Savings Certificates as part of the challenges of the Energy Transition.
This campaign, which contrasts with the tone of a classic campaign, aims to put an end to received ideas from professionals and individuals by providing concrete solutions to promote EWCs.
