Isonat launches the Flex Contact range, a new generation of bio-sourced wood fiber insulation panels

Retaining the best lambdas on the market for biosourced insulation, the products in the FLEX CONTACT range meet customer expectations and fully comply with the regulatory framework for energy renovation. This range is also in perfect harmony with the strategic issues of sustainable habitat with less binder and therefore more wood fiber in its panels.

FLEX CONTACT, a biosourced insulation solution that accompanies the main trends of the insulation market

Constantly evolving, the market for biosourced insulation should triple by 2030 to reach 33 million m² (9% market share*), wood fiber representing the majority of sales with 45% of volumes**.

This development potential concerns both the renovation market (private housing and public buildings) and traditional new construction or timber frame houses.

Anticipating such growth, Isonat had to respond to a key issue for craftsmen by manufacturing products that are easier to install and with less dust.

A technological innovation that simplifies handling, cutting and installation

A fiber quality that improves installation comfort… with much less dust!

FLEX 40 and FLEX 55 panels are easier to handle on construction sites. Their fiber does not disintegrate and generates very little dust during cutting, thus making installation easier and more pleasant to perform. The flexibility of the panels and their aptitude for compressibility also facilitate installation between uprights and duct passages.

A new composition at the service of panel performance

The FLEX 40 and FLEX 55 panels are made with a new generation of binder, the quantity required for manufacturing of which has been halved. This new formula makes it possible to obtain panels with more wood fibres, whose improved technical qualities ensure excellent cohesion of the material and the robustness of the panels.

Eco-design and French manufacturing

For the manufacture of its biosourced FLEX CONTACT wood fiber insulation, Isonat favors PEFC-certified Douglas fir. This raw material comes from local forests and comes from offcuts from nearby sawmills, within a radius of around 60 km around the Mably plant (42).

Easy to read and more durable packaging

Thanks to its new packaging, Isonat makes it easier for installers and sellers to choose. Educational above all, it indicates the name of the range, the nature of the insulation and its benefits, necessary and directly visible information on a more refined pack.

In terms of recyclability, the inking rate of the packaging has been halved, going from 45% to 22%, which allows greater recycling of the packaging because it requires less treatment.
