This collection offers a whole range of carpet tiles inspired by nature and manufactured to respect it. The seven models in the Embodied Beauty ™ collection are in line with the company's Climate Take Back ™ mission (which aims to fight global warming) and its commitment to reducing the carbon footprint of its products. Thanks to the Carbon Neutral Floors ™ program, they are carbon neutral throughout their life cycle. It is also the first Interface collection to offer carpet tiles with a negative carbon footprint during manufacture when leaving the factory.
A collection with Japanese aesthetics for a connection to the environment
Designed by Kari Pei, Interface's vice president of global product design, Embodied Beauty ™ reflects a Japanese aesthetic, blending minimalism and regeneration with the organic beauty of the natural world. This collection creates a feeling of connection with others and with nature in harmony with the principles of ikigai, a Japanese concept that is based on the "identification of the purpose" of each. These influences combine to offer a unique range ranging from narrow monochromatic patterns to tufted textures that are accompanied by large graphics.
“Embodied Beauty ™ is our first collection to include products with a negative carbon footprint and, as such, it faithfully reflects the idea of working in symbiosis with nature, a concept very present in Japanese culture. This concept inspired the aesthetics of the design and allowed to generate a multitude of textures and colors from which to draw. Looking at these models closely, you will find elements of kintsugi, the art of mending broken objects in order to create something beautiful and new, but also sashiko, a decorative form of embroidery. These carpet tiles make up a refined floor, imparting a calm atmosphere and understated elegance to suit virtually any space. " emphasizes Kari Pei.
Inspired by nature. Designed for respect
Composed of seven models of carpet tiles and six colors, the range
Embodied Beauty ™ evokes the delicate beauty of old textiles, the textures
irregular meshes, woven patterns and soft, subtle contours of nature.
The collection includes three models whose carbon footprint is negative from manufacture to ex-factory: Shishu Stitch ™, Tokyo Texture ™ and Zen Stitch ™. These products combine the company's new CQuest ™ BioX underlayment with specific fibers and proprietary tufting processes. They were designed to store more carbon than any carpet tile before. By storing carbon, these innovative models prevent it from escaping into the atmosphere where it contributes to global warming. Thus, they help Interface customers reduce the carbon footprint of the spaces they create.
Embodied Beauty ™ also includes four other models - Geisha
Gather ™, Sashiko Stitch ™, Simple Sash ™ and Vintage Kimono ™ - available in subdued, calming grays with warm, light tones and natural colors for a sophisticated, nuanced palette. All these models allow for elegant associations and contrasts. They install easily and efficiently side by side, providing an integrated flooring solution with timeless charm.
