Insulation under Knauf paving: new possibilities in line with the revised DTU 13.3

Indeed, the revised DTU 13.3 now authorizes the increase of the maximum thicknesses of insulation used under paving for certain types of buildings without particular loads and excluding individual houses. These are collective housing, accommodation buildings, offices, health, school or university premises with an operating load less than or equal to 5 kN/m2 without point loads or moving loads. Thus, the Knauf range now offers, for these buildings, thicknesses and therefore thermal resistances of up to:

• 4,80 to 7,00 m².K/W for its EPS solutions with a thickness of 160 to 230 mm;
• 8,30 or 10,00 m².K/W for its PU solutions in 2 layers of 90 or 110 mm;
• 10,30 m².K/W for its XPS solutions in 2 layers of 150 mm.

To present the advantages of its offer within the framework of the DTU 13.3 revision, Knauf has therefore just published specific documentation that can be downloaded and ordered on knauf.fr. It offers a guide to choosing solutions by type of building and by criteria sought: ease of implementation, possibility of recycling offcuts with Knauf Circular®, or thicknesses and sizes of panels available. Building stakeholders will thus be able to quickly select the Knauf insulation solution under slabs according to the requirements of their site, and in particular the level of insulation required.
