During their holidays, the French have a very special hobby. Indeed, in addition to walks and various activities, more than 59% declare that they like to take an interest each time in local real estate investment opportunities and 24% from time to time. But are they ready to take the plunge and for which regions?

Holidays, home or other? Which regions would the French choose to invest in real estate?

Among the 13 regions of France, 4 clearly stand out, but not at all for the same reasons. Indeed, the French who would like to invest in the region where they live first choose Île-de-France at 14%, New Aquitaine at 12% and Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée at 11%. On the other hand, the French who would opt to invest in the region of their holidays favor the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region first at 18%, then Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée at 16% and New Aquitaine at 14%. %. Finally, the French who would prefer to invest in a region other than that of their holidays or their home vote for Île-de-France at 19%, the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region at 13% and 11% for Auvergne Rhône-Alpes.

But why do the French love real estate?

As for the reasons that push the French to invest in real estate, few new surprises. Retirement remains the main criterion for 36%, just ahead of increased income with 29%. 21% also want to build a heritage in stone and 18% to settle in a particular region. Finally, 11% just want to get into real estate investing.
