Renovation sites, particularly in the residential sector, played an important part in this dynamic since they concern, according to the UDIREV partners, 85 to 95% of the products sold. It should be noted that at the same time, large-scale projects have resumed with a new demand for renovation in the hotel sector.
Liberty forever! PVC continues to grow
Again in 2022, the Liberty brand, created and supported by the UDIREV network, has helped develop vinyl sales. The rigid tiles and blades technology confirms its remarkable success that began in 2021. LVT represents more than a third of sales (34%). Immediately behind, sales of vinyl on rolls weigh in at 29%. PVC floors are well ahead of sales with 63% (compared to 60% in 2021).
This category of flooring is particularly appreciated in renovation for its ease of installation and its strong decorative power. But also for the convincing efforts in terms of improving the carbon footprint and recyclability. In 2022, Liberty launched eco-responsible collections for the residential (Liberty Nature) and tertiary sectors (Urban 55 & 70 Néo).
Wood, stable value!
Wood, parquet and laminate floors are showing great stability and represent 20% of sales as in 2021. For all those who want a durable and reassuring decoration, wood and its derivatives remain a safe bet. Confident in the future of these floors, UDIREV is investing heavily in this category of products by launching Pixis® an innovative collection of laminates dedicated to property development a few months ago. And last month Lamidécor® a completely redesigned collection of residential laminates.
Textile floors stay on course gently!
Textile floors are the only category to decline in 2022 at UDIREV: carpets and rugs represent 15% of sales (compared to 20% in 2021). It should be noted, however, that the gradual resumption of hotel construction sites could bear fruit in the coming months. To support this demand, UDIREV also launched a new carpet offer last year, notably with the possibility of printing a custom-made decor from 100m2 in area. Also note that this offer includes recycled and recyclable carpets, made from plastic waste collected in the oceans.
UDIREV in 2023
On the rise, consolidated revenue for 2022 is 257 million euros compared to 246 million in 2021.
UDIREV today has a national network of 89 showrooms run by 738 employees. UDIREV is also the reliability of 10 regional logistics platforms and a national platform of 18.000 m2 which were particularly appreciated during supply tensions.
For Eric Chevallier, President of UDIREV: “Our logistics and our large storage capacity have made it possible to guarantee the availability of most products despite a difficult context in terms of supply. This permanent stock also allowed us to delay part of the 2021 price increases and therefore to remain competitive. »
For Marc Azoulay, Deputy Director of UDIREV: “All our teams have made great efforts to support our customers in 2022 when the context was often tense. The diversification of our delivery and collection services in particular, with longer time slots, has enabled us to adapt to the very diverse needs of our different customers. »
