Housing crisis: anger rises among building professionals who demand immediate measures

In a context where the economic growth of our country is penalized by the fall in overall household investment, the FFB has made long-standing proposals, in particular:

• Simplify MaPrimRénov: the FFB will be present at the February 15 meeting announced by Christophe Béchu to present its concrete solutions given a complex and blocked market. The FFB calls for the immediate application of the measures, the next day;
• Immediately reinstate the zero-interest loan for the construction of housing, in all territories, including for individual homes;
• Freeze the Building REP (waste treatment) scales for one year and make the system, currently ineffective, more operational for companies throughout the country;
• Establish the tax status of the private landlord to maintain the supply of rental housing.

For Olivier Salleron, president of the FFB: “We urgently request the appointment of a Minister of Housing with an action plan for all territories and the establishment of a national construction council. Housing is a concern for the French, it is an issue for reindustrialization and therefore for employment. We need concrete measures. We must hear the growing mobilization and the anger of the entire construction industry. »
