Homematic IP expands its range of universal controllers for motorized locks and electric strikes

Homematic IP, a German specialist in home automation for nearly 40 years, is today unveiling new products for construction professionals. These new features in the ranges of motorized locks and electric strikes join the innovations of the brand, which is setting out to conquer the French market in 2025.

These products, available today, are intended for construction professionals, wholesalers and specialist distributors.

The French home automation market is expected to reach 2,3 billion euros in 2024, according to Xerfi forecasts. It is expected to rebound by 9% in 2025, proof that manufacturers are constantly innovating to offer building and renovation professionals more modern technologies to satisfy the end customer.

These tools aim to optimize energy management, strengthen security and improve user comfort, while responding to current environmental and economic challenges.

Exceptionally versatile: The new universal controllers for motorized locks and electric strikes enable almost all electrically controlled entrance doors to be integrated into the Homematic IP system.

Whether in residential buildings, commercial premises or private homes, the new flush-mounted universal controllers from Homematic IP offer more security and convenience through intelligent access control.

Homematic IP Universal Motorized Lock Controller

The Homematic IP Universal Flush-Mounted Lock Controller enables secure and intelligent control of entrance doors equipped with motorised locks. Making it an ideal solution for modern door systems. A wide range of connection options allows, for example, the integration of home communication systems, code keypads, RFID or fingerprint readers. Existing sensors, such as door status sensors or glass breakage detectors, can also be connected via the inputs. Opening commands can be easily triggered using the free Homematic IP app* or wired buttons.

Homematic IP Universal Electric Strike Controller

Homematic IP Universal Electric Strike Controller offers similar functionality, but is specially designed to connect to all types of electric strikes. It uses only one switching output. Time-controlled opening is also possible via this output. For example, medical practices can allow visitors access during consultation hours, while keeping the door locked outside of these hours.

Thanks to their compact design, both devices fit into all standard flush-mounting boxes. For optimal installation, flush-mounting boxes with a minimum depth of 50 mm are recommended.
