Himacs brings a luxurious and functional finish to the interior of the new Brooklyn Hotel in Leicester

For designer Oliver Redfern: “Squid.inc has once again been honored to be selected to design the interior spaces for this trendy retailer and its new Leicester site, adjacent to Welford Road Stadium, home of the famous Leicester Tigers rugby team. The aesthetic superimposes decorations from different periods and sources; a palpable anti-slick, anti-corporate sensibility - a place where creativity and collaboration are given free rein to build a story that brings the best of Brooklyn to Leicester. »

The result is a comfortable, welcoming destination with the charm of a film set.

The bar, the restaurant and the lobby together are called Le Lair, a real place of conviviality open to all. At the center of this space, the bar facade is crafted in HIMACS Dark Night and features drawn diagonal lines representing the patterns formed by the steel suspension cables of the Brooklyn Bridge. Part of HIMACS' Solids collection, the same material was also chosen for the hotel reception desks.

Upstairs, the hotel's 191 elegant rooms each have a bathroom whose countertops are in HIMACS Alpine White. All HIMACS elements were supplied by Whitehall Manufacturing, while the bar and reception desks were manufactured by Deanhouse Interiors.
