This collaboration aims to make it easier to obtain CEE financial bonuses, allowing Social Security organizations to better promote energy renovation work on their building stock. A signature that augurs well for energy savings for the tertiary buildings of Social Security organizations at a time when the price of energy is a concern for everyone.
Renovate to cope with rising energy prices and achieve the objectives of the tertiary eco-energy decree
The Social Security institution represents more than 4 million m² of office space, with an annual energy consumption of approximately 540 GWh.
Faced with the sharp rise in energy prices and in view of the energy consumption reduction objectives of the tertiary eco-energy decree to be achieved (- 40% by 2030, – 50% by 2040, and – 60% by 2050), energy renovation appears to be one of the major levers to be activated to consume less and better energy. Especially since it benefits from the support of the CEE, a private aid scheme financed by the largest energy suppliers (EDF, Total Energies, Engie, etc.).
Many Social Security organizations plan to carry out energy saving work, which will generate Energy Savings Certificates which contribute to:
- the promotion of energy performance work,
- the financing of all or part of the energy efficiency works,
- and the acceleration of the launching of projects thanks to additional financial resources.
Simplify the procedures for obtaining EEC financial aid
Guided by the desire to simplify the procedures for obtaining funding from the Social Security funds for the renovation of their buildings, Ucanss has chosen to rely on the expertise of Hellio, a player in the system since 2008.
In concrete terms, Hellio supports Ucanss and the National Social Security Funds in the detection of sources of energy savings and makes technical recommendations and optimization of CEEs for the energy renovation work to be carried out. The reference player in energy management also provides assistance for the assembly of CEE files and the payment of bonuses.
This signature announces many joint actions between Hellio and Social Security. Lasting 4 years, the partnership was concluded for the entire duration of the 5th period of the CEE.
“Last year, we committed to the Impulsion2021 program, which made it possible to raise the awareness of thousands of employees about eco-responsible actions and to test innovative technical solutions with quick wins. As an extension, this partnership agreement signed with Hellio enrolls us in a sustainable approach in favor of the energy transition which is a major societal and economic challenge.” emphasizes Raynal Le May, Director of Ucanss.
“Our common objectives, thanks to the ESCs promoted by Hellio and the work carried out by Social Security, are based on an essential triptych to consolidate the energy transition: maximizing energy savings in buildings, working on the thermal comfort of users and employees and improve the valuation of real estate assets », emphasizes Pierre Maillard, Chairman and CEO of Hellio.
