Heidelberg Materials France acquires Entreprise Charles Moroni

It has nearly 80 employees, spread over three sites, two of which are operational. Among these sites, the Saint-Léonard site, located in the heart of the Reims metropolitan area, specializes in the production and marketing of recycled aggregates, aggregates from demolition, but also by-products from local industries, such as glass aggregates and clinker. This activity is supported by a strategic partnership with Yprema.

With this acquisition, Heidelberg Materials France is strengthening its positions in the East of France for its aggregates activities and reinforcing its ambitions in terms of recycling.

The Heidelberg Materials group has adopted a sustainable development roadmap for 2030 based on four pillars, one of which is dedicated to the development of the circular economy.

For Bruno Pillon, President of Heidelberg Materials' French activities: "The acquisition of the Moroni company is part of the development strategy of our activities in France. It is based in particular on proximity and circularity, key levers for the deployment of a new economy and accelerating the development of closed-loop recycling of concrete materials."

For Sylvie Berhault, General Manager of aggregates activities at Heidelberg Materials France: "There are many synergies between our activities in the East of France and the Moroni company. They will allow us to strengthen our product and service offering for our customers, builders and regional planners, who work to improve our living environment."
