Faced with the episode of high heat forecast for the next few days, the OPPBTP (Professional body for the prevention of building and public works) is mobilizing to help building and construction professionals adopt the right reflexes on construction sites.
On its preventionbtp.fr website, the Organization provides professionals with a toolbox bringing together all the useful resources to ensure their safety in these extreme working conditions (videos, posters, questions/answers, solutions, etc.).
In particular, they will find all the preventive measures to be taken on construction sites:
- Check the weather daily to assess day-to-day risk,
- Adapt working hours and clothing,
- Hydrate regularly and in sufficient quantity (at least 3 liters of water per day)
- Adopt increased and shared vigilance within teams, and learn to recognize heat stroke.
