With 300 employees, it will produce SMILERS orthodontic aligners for the French leader in the field of dental implants, dental prostheses and medical devices dedicated to orthodontics.
A mixed building with a neat design
With a total surface area of 2.875 m², on a plot of 10.000 m², this new three-storey building complex will include a 1.000 m² workshop, dedicated to production, as well as 1.875 m² of office space.
Benefiting from a careful design signed by EMH ARCHITECTES, the building will see its workshop and part of the offices equipped with translucent cladding to allow an optimal light supply.
A 60 m² glass roof will also provide natural light in the center of the workshop, creating an open and bright space, conducive to well-being.
To complete the set, this plant will have a vast wooden terrace of 300 m², landscaping at the reception level, two cafeterias dedicated to employees and a training room.
The workshop will have to maintain a constant temperature in order to maintain the calibration of the 3D printers, with a uniform distribution by textile ducts.
"It is a great pride for GSE to accompany in its development a Provençal nugget that shines internationally" declares Patrice Tachouaft, PACA region director at GSE.
The largest aligner factory in Europe
The new BIOTECH DENTAL site will host 4 production lines composed of 3D printers and thermoforming and finishing tools: it will be the largest aligner production plant in Europe, by a European company.
This investment, of around 15 million euros, will make it possible to produce on this site up to 10.000 transparent tooth aligners per day and to multiply by 7 the production of SMILERS brand aligners, to respond to national development. and international development of the group, now present in the United States.
This establishment will ultimately create 300 jobs and will demonstrate the highest standards in terms of respect for environmental issues. Thus, the consumption of ink, packaging and plastic will be scrutinized and the printing system used will recover a large part of the resin that would have been thrown away, allowing a saving in consumption of around 10 to 20%. . A thermal self-regulation system and the use of 3D printers that are ten times more energy efficient complete the ecological component.
For Philippe Véran, Founding President of BIOTECH DENTAL: “We are very happy to have a third production plant for Biotech Dental. The construction of this new production tool is part of our group's strategy to continue to serve French excellence; this new site also reinforces the development of our Smilers subsidiary, which has existed since 2014 and reaffirms our position as leader among general dentists in France”. He adds, “Biotech Dental is the only manufacturer offering a comprehensive dental offering to benefit from official certification for all of its products: the Origine France Garantie label. »
