GSE launches construction of a new logistics complex for Sicaap, the purchasing center of the Invivo Group

SICAAP, the purchasing center of the InVivo group, and GSE announce the start of construction on a new logistics warehouse in Chaniers, Charente-Maritime. Located on a 42.400 m² plot, this state-of-the-art facility will include over 9.000 m² of warehouse space and 500 m² of offices and staff facilities. Completion is scheduled for September 2026.

A modern and multifunctional site to meet the needs of the purchasing center's activities

Designed to support the growth of multi-product distribution activities for agriculture, gardening, DIY, leisure, textiles, and animal and human food, the building will comply with ICPE (Installations Classified for Environmental Protection) regulations and current logistics performance standards. It will include fifteen loading docks for heavy goods vehicles and optimized operational spaces to ensure the smooth flow of receiving, storage, order picking, and shipping. The offices and social facilities, which will also house the SICAAP headquarters, have been designed to offer a comfortable and energy-efficient working environment.

A strong environmental commitment

The new real estate complex incorporates strong environmental ambitions. It will be equipped with a 5.400 m² photovoltaic power plant representing an installed capacity of 999 kWp, making a significant contribution to renewable energy production. Sustainable water management will be ensured by a retention basin and appropriate landscaping. The architecture, designed by APSIDE ARCHITECTURE, has been conceived to ensure harmonious integration into the landscape, while the building has been sized to allow for potential future expansion.

This project is part of a committed and long-term relationship between SICAAP and GSE. After initial contact four years ago, the purchasing group chose GSE for its know-how, its ability to listen and its recognized expertise in turnkey design-construction of logistics real estate.

Since the project's inception, the GSE teams have been supporting SICAAP in defining technical solutions tailored to its current and future needs, demonstrating great responsiveness and enhanced operational monitoring. The project's success is also the result of close collaboration with local authorities and the services of the Chaniers Town Hall, Saintes Grandes Rives l'Agglo, and their urban planning departments.

Located within the Brandes business park extension, the project supports the region's economic growth and aligns with a sustainable development strategy. SICAAP has already organized the transition from its current site, which will remain in operation until the new building is operational.
