A new 17.822 m² distribution center
With a surface area of 17.822 m², the building has 12 loading bays and 211 parking spaces. It includes a structure of 2.805 m² of office space and an avant-garde spare parts warehouse of 10.620 m², equipped with an automated system of conveyors for the handling and storage of goods. The warehouse also has a shelving area of 4.800 m² on several floors and a mezzanine of 3.500 m² for the workshop. The building envelope has been designed to provide optimal thermal comfort to occupants. For this, several innovative and high performance solutions are planned, such as a “Steel-Bac” cover and an aluminum and glass facade body, with insulating sandwich panels.
Construction started in July 2020 with delivery scheduled for May 2021. The investment includes the completion of a series of urbanization works such as the requalification of via Tirelli and suitable landscaping. This project stands out in particular for the attention that has been paid to ecology with the installation of 11 charging stations for electric cars, the creation of 13.000 m² of new green spaces to the south and west of the site and the construction of nearly 1 km of illuminated cycle path.
This building complex is not the first project that the Kramp group decides to entrust to GSE. The two companies have been working together for several years and have carried out various projects in France (Poitiers, 2015), Germany (Strullendorf, 2017) and Great Britain (Biggleswade, 2020).
A strategic position in Reggio Emilia
The new center is located in Reggio Emilia, in the Gavassa-Prato business area, about 70 km east of Bologna. A strategic position, close to the A1 motorway, the main axis of the region's motorway network, connected to the main national and international crossroads.
This area was chosen by Kramp on the proposal of GSE, who identified the land for its client and, with the help of advisers, carried out the necessary verifications of acquisition and town planning activities. The project is carried out by GSE with the collaboration of Studio A2N de Plaisance, responsible for design, construction management and safety coordination.
"This project constitutes one of the most representative examples of what the support of a client means for GSE, both in the ability to work transversally with a deep knowledge of local contexts, and in" verticality ", with the identification and acquisition of land, obtaining building permits through complex town planning procedures and carrying out "turnkey" intervention on time and at fixed costs. A Global Contractor specialized in the requirements of SMEs. " explains Valentino Chiarparin, Country Manager GSE Italia.
