Grimshaw in charge of the creation of La Défense station on the western section of line 15 of the Grand Paris Express

The Paris office of the international architecture agency Grimshaw, part of the IntenCités15* group led by VINCI Construction Grands Projets as part of the first design-construction contract for line 15 (Western section) of the Grand Paris Express, unveils their first transport project in France.

Between urban connectivity and sustainability

The new station for line 15, located in the complex and dense area of the Rose de Cherbourg to the south of the La Défense square, represents a significant technical challenge, being mainly underground. Integrated into the existing transport network, it provides access via a new building on Place Louise Bourgeois, improving connectivity with the city of Puteaux.

The architecture of the station is characterized by a large glazed volume punctuated by an elegant structure, and a wooden slat ceiling which, visible from Place Louise Bourgeois, brings a warm touch to the heart of the “Arche Sud” sector and supports a green roof which extends the landscape project of the viaduct delivered by the developer Paris La Défense in 2023.

A large-scale urban mobility project launched by the Société des Grands Projets

The Société des Grands Projets has awarded the IntenCités15* group of companies (VINCI Construction Grands Projets, agent) the first design-construction contract for line 15 (Western section) of the Grand Paris Express, the largest urban mobility project currently in progress. courses in Europe.
