The structure is located in the Binjiang Urban District, an area home to the headquarters of some Asian e-commerce, automotive and tech giants, such as Alibaba, Geely, Dahua Technology and H3C.
Space experiments
The museum was designed by Chen Lin and Cui Shu, two internationally renowned design masters who imagined a unique and singular space, providing a better understanding of the reasons why modern Asian architecture is considered one of the most innovative and one of the most ambitious in the world.
The Neolith® museum was created to offer its visitors an immersive spatial experience. A course where shapes, lights, colors, textures and materials are modulated and create a succession of real 3D experiences that challenge all the senses to offer an innovative and futuristic adventure. Black and white form the main duo of an itinerary characterized by the combination of materials and shapes, as well as by the use of multiple aesthetic resources.
Inspired by the oriental concept of "letting go", the visitor is invited to open his mind and let himself be carried through a succession of spaces where Neolith® is presented through suspended marble slabs illuminated by LEDs, which mark the scene. routes and divides spaces, leading the visitor on a journey that ends with “arrival”, the culmination of this empirical learning of Neolith®.
The museum acts as a living laboratory that promotes an architectural and spatial experience for the visitor, beyond simple artistic contemplation. It conveys qualities and values that define new trends based on innovation, new materials and avant-garde design based on clean lines, plans, materials and surfaces.
With a sustainable and very differentiated approach, there is an elongated swimming pool around a Neolith® walkway, associated with a stainless steel roof. The set produces a powerful and attractive reflection of the water on the visitor, creating an original mirror effect.
In addition, different arrangements will be offered from time to time with the aim of creating spatial and architectural experiences based on design, innovation and avant-garde materials.
