In 2018, the company, affected by a violent fire, became aware of the security issues linked to the flow of people. It then approached Dény Security, another company ambassador of the historic know-how of the Picardy region, to support it in the design of a new organization chart and the installation of keys and cylinders on its production site.
With a surface area of 10.000 m2, the Gérard Pariche establishments have 9 production lines dedicated to the lacquering and frosting of glass for the big names in perfumery and cosmetics. Following an extension of the site and an increase in the workforce (from 110 to 200 people), the existing organization chart of the Samarian factory had become obsolete.
« With an unmanageable mix between old and new accesses as well as a set of keys that has become too bulky over time. This therefore created serious security problems between lost keys and unequipped doors. » explains Eugénie Douville, Operations Manager who will soon take over the reins of the family business.
After the acquisition in 2021 of a new building located a few kilometers away in Blangy sur Bresle, the opportunity to rethink the entirety of access control presented itself. The company then approached Dény Security to support it in this process. At the end of numerous working meetings over a year to design the new key organization chart, define access authorizations and take measurements on the 120 doors to be secured to confirm the solutions chosen, the following equipment was installed:
- the Satyx Twin European mechanical cylinder on the majority of doors which, in addition to very high combinatorial power thanks to 24 different coding elements, is equipped with a 2 in 1 function. In the event of loss or theft of the general pass or a partial pass, it thus offers the possibility of ordering a 2nd set of all the keys to re-secure all the cylinders without changing them and thus deactivate the lost key,
- mechanical vertical mortise or horizontal surface-mounted locks on doors equipped with versions that are too old or not compatible with a European cylinder,
- panic locks from the éO range with 1 locking point in operating bar version on emergency exits and electrical rooms. Fire rated as standard and certified EN 1125: 2008, they combine performance, significant resistance and durability.
To answer the problem of knowing who can enter, where, when and with what key, the new organization chart is associated with the secure management software Logiclés. This allows Inès de Franssu, Environmental Security Manager who followed the project in close collaboration with Dény Security, to consult the organization chart, the order history but above all to manage all the keychains much more easily by knowing with precision which holder has which key and which accesses are opened by whom.
Added to this is access to the Deny Online platform so that Inès de Franssu can, at any time and in complete autonomy, register a new order for keys, cylinders, mechanical or panic locks, in no time.
With a budget of around €30.000 in total, the installation was completed in the fall of 2023 with installation and commissioning, included in the Dény Security service, carried out by a team of 3 people for 3 days. While the Gérard Pariche establishments have just carried out work, Dény Security's mechanical organization chart has the added advantage of being flexible and scalable to integrate the new doors.
