Geplast completes the acquisition of FMI Moules et Injection

The desire to acquire new know-how

After 15 years of partnership, the discussions of this operation settled quite naturally between the two family businesses.

I knew that it could perpetuate our know-how, which is so important to me, and lead us to develop our joint activities”.

The acquisition of FMI Moules et Injection fits perfectly into a desire to integrate new skills in the field of the transformation of polymer materials. This complete mastery of the design, development and production of injected parts and extruded profiles enables Geplast to respond to specific customer requests and to diversify its offer by entering new sectors of activity.

100% French designer and manufacturer of molds and injected parts

Founded in 1996 by Christophe GUEGAN, FMI Moules et Injection specializes in the design and manufacture of injection molds allowing the integrated production of injected parts in PVC, ABS, ASA, polyamide and biosourced polymer materials. It now has 11 employees for a turnover of €1,5 million and operates nationwide in a variety of business sectors: construction, POS, landscaping, medical, cosmetics, etc.

With a covered area of ​​2500 m² for a total area of ​​7000 m²; the company has a machine park of 8 injection presses.

Pool skills and investments

Although FMI Moules et Injection is now integrated into Geplast's development strategy, it remains an entity in its own right led by Christophe GUEGAN and his wife Laurence, in close collaboration with Geplast management.

“For us, it's a way of involving them in our future projects. We also want to reassure and maintain a bond of trust with the employees present on the Bellevigny site” indicates Etienne GRIMAULT, president.

The two companies therefore wish to develop a commercial strategy with the main objective of expanding the customer portfolio and consequently the demand for injected and extruded parts.

“The 5-year objective is to triple the current turnover. This will notably involve the creation of new jobs, a reorganization of production and storage spaces and the arrival of new machines.” conclude Maxime GRIMAULT and Christophe GUEGAN.
