For a responsible and committed industry, Inoha raises awareness among its members with a visit to the Eco-Parc of the Baudelet Environnement group

This remarkable site is a center for sorting and recovering, in particular, waste from the Furniture Elements sector and, more recently, DIY and Garden Items.

As part of INOHA's commitment to support its members in their CSR initiatives and the entry into force of waste recovery channels (REP ABJ and PMCB), this initiative has enabled the 11 member companies from Hauts-de-France and the Paris region (Brunel, Durieu SA, Chromology Services, Tibelec, etc.), to discuss and discover this sorting centre, operator for Ecomaison.

The Eco-Parc of the Baudelet Environnement group brings together, on a 300 hectare site, three major areas of activity (Waste, Scrap and Metals, Materials) as well as the storage facility for non-hazardous waste. Unique in France, it concentrates, in one and the same place, about twenty waste treatment and recovery sectors organized according to an eco-industrial synergy.

Rich in lessons, this day allowed the industrialists present, accompanied by representatives of INOHA and Ecomaison, to discover how the products of their various sectors are taken care of: dismantling, sorting of the various materials and for some of them their processing and recovery on site. Plastic in particular, flexible or rigid, is transformed into flakes sold to plastics processors. At the end of the race, non-recyclable materials are recovered for energy.

It was also an opportunity for Ecomaison to present the missions of the eco-organisation and its role downstream of collection: re-use and recycling of products. The morning ended with a focus on the concept of recyclability of products with the aim of increasingly reducing the share of waste that still ends up in landfill.

Industrial members of INOHA have thus been able to measure the importance of committing to the eco-design of their products.
