FINEO Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) are documents verified by a third party in accordance with EN 15804 + A2 ** and ISO 14025 *** standards. They provide objective data on the environmental impact of the product throughout its life cycle.

These EPDs, verified by a third-party body, allow building professionals and project owners to compare the environmental footprint of construction products using environmental impact indicators, such as Climate Change – total.

Among the FINEO products that have obtained a verified EPD, the Low-Carbon 8 mm configuration stands out for its impressive reduction in environmental footprint. This Low-Carbon variant is based on the PLANIBEL Low-Carbon glass range, manufactured in high-efficiency furnaces using a holistic approach, including using a higher percentage of cullet (recycled glass), renewable electricity, and low-carbon sodium carbonate.

As a result, the total “cradle-to-gate” Climate Change value of 8 mm Low-Carbon glass, referring to the most impactful stages of production – from raw material extraction to factory exit – is exceptionally low. With only 18,9 kg CO2 eq./m², FINEO Low-Carbon 8 mm glass is among the glazings with the lowest values ​​in terms of carbon impact, surpassing many standard double and triple glazings on the market.
